Well, hello there! If you’ve found your way to this page, you’ve officially discovered “The Little Flower Shop on the Square Blog,” and we’re so glad you did. We’ve been dreaming of launching this little storytelling corner for quite a while now.
Originally, we thought it would bloom sometime before Valentine’s Day (a natural time for a florist, right?). But as life would have it, things got a little... busy. Between wrapping bouquets in pink ribbon, prepping Valentine’s specials, and tending to our ever-growing list of meaningful projects, our blog had to wait patiently in the wings.
That said, sometimes delays lead to better timing, and here we are—just about ready to debut. We're thinking it will be ready for its official launch debut sometime towards mid- July 2025.
We hope this blog becomes more than just a place to share news and updates. We want it to be a window into our world, filled with stories from the shop, everyday moments, real-life happenings, creative sparks, and the little lessons that come from working in a small, soulful business like ours.

At Veda’s Flowers & Gifts, we believe in blooming where you’re planted. For us, that’s right here in the heart of Murfreesboro’s historic downtown public square.
We’re proud to be a women-owned, family-operated business that blossomed from love, perseverance, and a whole lot of heart. We like to say that we’re more than a flower and gift shop—we’re a little slice of home. A place where faith and community come together. Where you’ll hear laughter in the back room, smell fresh blooms from the front door, and see hands working tirelessly to craft something beautiful—one bouquet at a time.
But flowers, like life, are never just one thing. They’re part joy, part challenge, part surprise. And that’s exactly the kind of mix we want to bring to this blog.

The day-to-day magic (and chaos!) of running a flower shop. The behind-the-scenes of our busiest seasons. Stories from customers and community events that make us smile. Reflections on faith, family, and finding beauty in the ordinary. Plus, floral tips, gift ideas, seasonal favorites, and so much more. It won’t always be perfectly polished, but it will always be authentic—just like everything we do.
The Swag Shop is Blooming, Too
Now let’s talk about one of the projects that pushed this blog slightly down the to-do list: The Swag Shop!
Yes, that’s right—Veda’s Swag Shop: The Merch Marketplace of the Little Flower Shop on the Square is officially coming to life. Developing this line of merchandise has been a labor of love. We didn’t want to just slap our name on a mug and call it a day although, let’s be honest—who doesn’t love a cute coffee mug with flowers or a small business logon it?
We wanted to create inspiring, meaningful, and community-driven products that reflect who we are and what we believe in. Every item we design carries a little piece of our story—whether it’s about Murfreesboro pride, floral charm, or that everyday encouragement we all need from time to time.
Here’s what you can expect to find:
- “Shop Local” themed gear – Because supporting your hometown matters
- Floral-inspired apparel and gifts – Perfect for plant lovers and flower fanatics
- Seasonal designs – Think springtime shirts, Christmas cozies, fall-themed totes, and more
- Uplifting messages and meaningful quotes – From shirts to stickers to journals
We’re still in the testing phase of our payment processors (tech is a whole different kind of flower arranging!), but everything is looking great, and we’re adding new items weekly.
